February 22, 2019 (Lemon Grove) -- Passion for the Arts will present Cinderella at the First Baptist Church of Lemon Grove (2910 Main St., Lemon Grove) May 3-5.  The retelling of the fantasy tale will be more closely based on the novel than the Disney version.

Enjoy getting to know more about kind and loving Cinderella in this adaptation that highlights kindness, devotion, dreams, faith and marriage.  Meet her friends the mice, a lizard and a cat. The usual antagonists of step mother and step sisters are also conspicuous for a cruel, but also comical, twist.  Then there's the forgetful King Corriander, patient Queen, thoughtful Prince, variety of villagers and loving (but ill-fated!) mother and father of Cinderella, to name just a few beloved characters.

This cast of 40 plus homeschoolers from around San Diego, along with a group of trained ballroom dancers, will make the stage come alive in this two act, musical production with full costuming, professional lighting and sound.
