POLICE SEEK MEN IN GREEN FORD EXPLORER SUSPECTED IN HOME INVASION MURDER AT SAN CARLOS HOME

May 13, 2016 (San Diego’s East County) – Brent Adler, 33, is dead of a gunshot wound after arriving at his San Carlos home and interrupting a home invasion robbery.  San Diego Police are seeking four or five men spotting fleeing the scene in the 8500 block of Tommy Drive in a green Ford Expedition Wednesday, May 11 around 2:50 p.m..

The victim suffered at least one gunshot wound to his upper body and was found dead in front of the residence.

His sister, Ashley Adler, told ECM news partner 10 News, "When he walked in the door, he saw his two friends tied up and blindfolded, so of course he was going to try to protect them and I believe that's why he got the brutal end of it."



The motive for the brutal killing is unknown, though his sister suggested the tragedy could be tied to Adler's past. He had served time in prison for 12 years for an armed robbery of a smoke shop when he was 17 years old, but was released several years ago,  Ashley Adler told 10 News. She added that her brother had turned his life around and enjoyed restoring cars and dancing.

The family set up a GoFundMe account in his name to help cover funeral and memorial costs. costs.
