POLICE SEEK SUSPECTS IN RED VAN WHO TERRORIZED WOMEN IN LA MESA

August 26, 2016 (La Mesa) — Two women in south La Mesa awoke Tuesday around 3 a.m. to the sounds of banging on their front door.  10 News reports the women looked out and saw six people bashing the house and shattering car windows with hammers and a machete.

Believing they were targets of mistaken identity, one of the women confronted an assailant who then threatened her life, her roommate, Sarah Wright, told 10 News.  The vandalism continued for around 10 minutes.

She said the attackers, all in their 20s or so, included men and at last one woman who left in a red minivan before police arrived.
