March 10, 2017 (Ramona) – “We’re crazy about all things local,” say the owners of Ramona Ranch Winery.  Besides offering locally produced wines and cheeses, the winery is now offering customers the opportunity to take home boxes of fresh vegetables from JR Organics.

A representative will be at the winery this Sunday, March 12 for a presentation on how the community supported agricultural program works. Members will be able to pick up boxes of local, organic seasonal vegetables twice a month at the winery.

CSA or Community Supported Agriculture is a way that you get direct access to high quality, fresh produce grown locally by a regional farmer. When you become a member of a CSA, you’re purchasing a “share” of the farms’ produce delivered year round, and know who grows your food and can be sure they use the best practices for your health.

JR Organics is 100% organic, local and family owned and is 100% GMO free.  They have been organic since 1986, using untreated seeds.  Like Ramona Ranch they use insect management that is dependent on beneficial insects and biological controls.

Sign up with JR Organics, pay them directly and then come by the winery twice a month to pick-up your own box of local, organic, seasonal vegetables.

If you can't make it to the presentation, no problem.  Just let them know your pick-up location will be Ramona Ranch when you sign up and the winery will notify you when the first boxes arrive.  If you have questions, email Megan or call the farm directly at 760-453-4144.
