RED DYE EXPLODES ON BANK ROBBER IN LA MESA

July 1, 2010 (La Mesa) – La Mesa Police are seeking a suspect who robbed Wells Fargo Bank in Grossmont Center at 12:25 p.m.

“A red dye pack exploded,” dispatch supervisor Charles Howshar informed East County Magazine. “He was last seen on foot running from the area and we are currently looking for him.”  

 

IPN reports the suspect, who was armed with a knife, ran down hill behind the Red Lobster.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or dark-complexion man about six feet tall. He was wearing jeans, a black shirt, dark baseball cap, and kerchief over his mouth. If you have any information, call La Mesa Police at (619) 667-1400.
