REGISTRATION OPENS FOR JULIAN FAMILY FIDDLE CAMP APRIL 11-15

December 6, 2016 (Julian) – The Julian Family Fiddle Camp is an acoustic music immersion program for the young and young-at-heart including instruction in guitar, mandolin, ukulele and banjo as well as fiddle playing.  Registration is now open for the April 11-15,2017 fiddle camp in historic Julian.

The camp features four areas of focus:

  • Texas-style fiddle and backup guitar
  • traditional and progressive bluegrass, fiddle, mandolin and guitar
  • Appalachian old-time fiddle and banjo
  • Traditional and swing ukulele

Instructors at the 2017 camp will include:

Guitar

  • Anthony Mature - Texas Backup
  • Molly Tuttle - Bluegrass Flat-pick and

    Rhythm
  • AJ Lee - Beginner-mediate Guitar

Mandolin

  • Joe K. Walsh - Traditional and Progressive Bluegrass
  • Nina Weisman - Monroe-style

Fiddle

  • Jennifer Albrent - Fiddle Basics
  • Henry Barnes - Appalachian Old-time
  • Matthew Hartz - Texas-style
  • John Mailander - Traditional Bluegrass
  • Avery Merritt - Progressive Bluegrass

'Ukulele

  • Craig Chee - Traditional
  • Sarah Maisel - Swing

Banjo

  • Dan Gellert - Appalachian Old-time
