RESORT TO NATURE AT 52ND ANNUAL BORREGO DAYS FESTIVAL AND PARADE OCT. 21-22

September 21, 2017 (Borrego Springs) - The 52nd Annual Borrego Days Desert Festival returns to showcase qualities that make Borrego Springs so unique as both a weekend getaway and a world all its own with beautiful weather, incredible star gazing, resorts, and the free Borrego Days Festival which kicks off Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and continues through Sunday, October 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Saturday, find your way into the heart of town where the Borrego Days Parade will step off promptly at 10 a.m. with over 100 entries. Arrive early to find the perfect spot along Palm Canyon Drive or on Christmas Circle so you can turn your attention to the skies for a multi-plane fly over before the parade. This parade will feature everything from elaborate floats to western trick riding cowboys and their stunning horses.

Don’t forget your dancing shoes because you won’t be able to sit still once the competing marching bands from San Diego, Imperial and Riverside schools strut by you playing their best tunes for the chance to win title of #1. Remember the fond memories of yesteryear as classic cars roll by with newly appointed Borrego Springs Queens and Princesses waving from the passenger seats. 

The excitement does not end with the parade. Head over to Christmas Circle and wander through rows of unique booths offering a variety handmade goods, beautiful artwork, crafts, and delicious food. Whether you’re an art aficionado, a fashionista or a foodie, there is a little bit of everything inside this circle of wonder. Stop into the beverage garden to find a perfect cold brew to pair with your tasty treat before heading to the dance floor.

Live music will surround the circle, and people with gather to dance into the sunset and under the clear starry night sky.

For the little ones, a carnival fun zone offers special activities until 5 p.m. daily.
