July 11, 2010 (Lakeside) – Bull-riding has been called “the most dangerous sporting event in America” by Sports Writers of America. On July 16-17, the Lakeside Optimist Club will host the 12th annual Bulls Only Rodeo at the Lakeside Rodeo Grounds. In addition to bull-riding, the event will also feature other rodeo events such as wild horse racing and mutton busting. All proceeds will benefit youth in the community.

Lest you think this event is only the domain of macho men and cowboys, Alycia Taylor, the 2010 Bulls Only Rodeo Queen, will also be on hand. She’s been riding horses and competing at barrel races and gymkhanas since age four!

The rodeo show starts at 7:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights, July 16 and 17. General admission tickets cost $18 for adults and $10 for children age 10 and under. Box seats are also available. For more information, call 619-443-2447 or visit www.bullsonlyrodeo.com.
