SAN DIEGO COUNTY SHERIFF SEARCHING FOR MAN WHO PUNCHED TRAIN CONDUCTOR

April 14, 2016 (San Diego) - Take a good look at the surveillance photo of a man wanted for punching a train conductor in the face.

It happened on April 6th just before 7:30 a.m. Passengers reported the man as acting strangely on board a southbound Coaster from Oceanside to the Santa Fe Train Depot.

At the Old Town station, a passenger pressed the emergency button to report the man's behavior. Fearing for the passengers' safety, the conductor asked the man to disembark the train.

The suspect appeared to cooperate initially, but punched the conductor in the face. The conductor fell which resulted in a head injury and several cuts to his face.
