SAN DIEGO'S TALENTED YOUNG MUSICIANS PERFORM WINTER CONCERTS AT POWAY CENTER FOR PERFORMING ARTS

March 8, 2017 (Poway) - San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory (SDYS) presents two inspiring concerts from their talented musicians on Sunday, March 12 at 1pm & 6pm at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts.

These Winter Concerts feature seven of SDYS' foundation and intermediate orchestras. Audiences will enjoy the experience of the young SDYS musicians bringing their skill and passion to the stage, creating a delightful and fresh musical experience.

The 1 p.m. concert features foundation and intermediate orchestras and wind ensembles led by conductors Juan Cristóbal Palacios, Ulli Reiner, Chris Lea and Adam Pezdek.

The 6 p.m. concert presents foundational string ensemble led by conductor Anthony Do-Hoon Kim, and the Sinfonia and Wind Symphony ensembles led by conductor Juan Cristóbal Palacios. The repertoire features Showcase level Concerto Competition Winner Sara Maxman performing Vivaldi's Concerto No. 3 in F major, Op. 8, RV 293 (Autumn, from the Four Seasons).

These concerts are the perfect opportunity for any young musicians interested in enrolling in SDYS to see the different levels of ensembles in action. SDYS' 2017-18 Auditions registration for new students begin March 30th.
