SAN MIGUEL FIRE LAUNCHES FACEBOOK PAGE WITH REPORTS OF ACTIVE FIRES

July 19, 2017 (San Diego’s East County) – San Miguel Fire District has launched a Facebook page to alert residents about daily fire and rescue incidents within the district.  You can view the page here: https://www.facebook.com/SanMiguelFireRescue/

The action comes just days after the district returned to independent status after severing its former agreement with Cal Fire for firefighting services due to improved finances in the district.

e San Miguel Consolidated Fire Protection District is the largest fire district in San Diego County. The District was formed on July 1, 1988. The District covers a 47 square mile area in the Eastern portion of urban San Diego County, serving the Communities of Bostonia, Casa de Oro, Crest, Grossmont/Mt. Helix, La Presa, Rancho San Diego, Spring Valley, and unincorporated areas of El Cajon and La Mesa.
