November 8, 2018 (San Diego's East County) -- Two East County school districts appear to have reached the 55% majority needed for passage, but a third failed to meet the mark, with 100% of precincts counted but some mail-in and provisional ballots still to be tallied.

Measure GG in Borrego Springs passed with 66% of the vote.  Measure S in Santee is up with 58%. But Measure JJ in the rural and largely impoverished Mountain Empire Shcool District currently has 53.46%, just shy of the 55% needed for passage.  Thus far, 1,437 votes in favor and 1,251 against have been tallied.

San Diego Unified School District's measure YY has also passed by a comfortable margin, winning 62% of the vote.
