October 9, 2016 (San Diego) - Donnel Pumphrey had 198 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown, Rashaad Penny added 160 scrimmage yards and two TDs, and San Diego State beat UNLV 26-7 on Saturday night.

Pumphrey ran 31 times for 141 yards and caught seven passes for 57 yards. His 26th career 100-yard rushing game tied DonTrell Moore (New Mexico, 2002-05) for the Mountain West Conference record.

Penny added 110 yards rushing and 50 yards receiving. He scored on a 41-yard TD catch in the first quarter and added a 4-yard TD run to cap the scoring in the fourth.

Pumphrey scored from 9 yards, splitting a pair of defenders with a cutback move to give the Aztecs (4-1, 1-0) a 20-7 lead with 4:50 left in the third quarter.

Next week finds the Aztecs at Fresno State for a Friday night showdown at 7:00 p.m.
