SDSU will face 12 opponents at the Aztec Tennis Center this season

October 4, 2023 (San Diego) - The San Diego State men’s tennis program unveiled its Spring 2024 schedule on Wednesday, featuring 12 home matches at the Aztec Tennis Center.
The Scarlet and Black will begin the season at the Aztec Tennis Center (ATC) against Brigham Young on Jan. 11. The following day, the Aztecs head to Palm Desert to compete in the National Collegiate Tennis Classic.
SDSU will return to The Mesa for a doubleheader on Jan. 21 against Loyola Marymount and Sacramento State. Then, it will hit the road to face a pair of Big West opponents in UC Irvine (Jan. 27) and Cal Poly (Feb. 3) before returning to the ATC for another doubleheader on Feb. 21. This time, the Aztecs will battle another Big West school in UC Riverside as well as Point Loma Nazarene.
Following a trip to the Bay Area to play San Francisco (Feb. 24) and Saint Mary’s (Feb. 25), San Diego State will return to Southern California for the second oldest men’s tennis tournament in the nation, the Pacific Coast Doubles Championships (Feb. 29-March 3). The event was won by two of their very own a season ago when top doubles pairing Johannes Seeman and Chikaya Sato brought home the title.
The Aztecs wrap up their nonconference schedule with three straight days of home matches (March 15-17) in the San Diego Spring Invitational and a home match against Portland (March 22).
In conference play, SDSU will conclude March with road matches at Boise State (March 28) and Nevada (March 30). After hosting Air Force (April 5) and New Mexico (April 7), San Diego State will travel to Las Vegas to take on UNLV on April 18. The Aztecs will honor their seniors against Utah State at the Aztec Tennis Center on April 20.
The season will finish with the Mountain West Championships in Las Vegas from April 24-27.
San Diego State is returning all nine players from last year’s roster in addition to two newcomers. Matt Che played for four years at Notre Dame while Robin Parts spent the last four seasons at Wisconsin.
