March 5, 2021 (Riverside) - The San Diego State softball team swept a doubleheader at California Baptist Friday night at John C. Funk Stadium, winning the first game, 5-2, and posting a 2-0 shutout in the nightcap. The Aztecs are now 8-3 on the season.

February 27, 2021 (San Diego) - San Diego State dropped the rubber game of its weekend series with No. 5/6 Washington, 5-0, Saturday afternoon at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (6-3) split with the Huskies (11-2) on Friday, falling 6-1 in the opener and taking the nightcap by a 4-0 score.

February 26, 2021 (San Diego) - San Diego State rode the arm of Maggie Balint and used some timely hitting early on to shut out No. 5/6 Washington, 4-0, for a doubleheader split in the nightcap Friday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. It was the highest-ranked opponent the Aztecs (6-2) have beaten since a 3-0 victory over No. 3/3 Texas A&M on March 15, 2008.

The Aztecs (17-11) rallied late in the opener, but dropped a 5-3 decision to No. 22/22 UCF before falling to host Long Beach State 8-0 in five innings in the nightcap.

March 4, 2020 (San Diego) - San Diego State allowed six runs in the top of the sixth inning of a one-run game in a 11-4 loss to Villanova Wednesday night at SDSU Softball Stadium.

The Wildcats (12-9), who are receiving votes in both the USA Today/NFCA and ESPN.com/USA Softball polls, were up, 4-3, after five innings before scoring six times off the Aztecs (14-9) on just three hits, but four walks and a crucial error.

March 1, 2020 (San Diego) - San Diego State used a four-run sixth inning to rally past CSUN, 7-4, in the San Diego Classic finale Sunday afternoon at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (14-8) finished the tournament with a 3-1 record, only falling to defending national champion and No. 1/1 UCLA, 5-0, when the Bruins scored all five of their runs with two outs in the top of the seventh inning.

February 21, 2020 (Cathedral City, Calif.) - The San Diego State softball team lost its Friday opener to No. 5/5 Arizona, 10-0, in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic at Big League Dreams Complex. 

SDSU was held to just one hit - a Sara Lillie single in the bottom of the second inning - and allowed three home runs to the Wildcats (11-2), which accounted for eight of the 10 runs in the game.

The Aztecs (4-2) had plenty of chances, but went 2-for-15 with runners on base and 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position, stranding eight runners in the game.

The Aztecs (4-1) avenged a Friday defeat to Villanova by beating the Wildcats 8-4 before dispatching Nicholls for the second straight day by a 7-3 score.

May 9, 2019 (Logan, Utah) - The San Diego State softball team dropped the series opener, 4-3, to Utah State Thursday afternoon in Logan, Utah.

The Aztecs (24-25, 11-11 MW) had plenty of chances to break open a close game, but left 10 runners on base, going 4-for-17 (.235) with runners on base, 2-for-11 (.182) with runners in scoring position and 1-for-4 (.250) with the bases loaded.

May 4, 2019 (San Diego) - San Diego State downed Fresno State, 3-1, to claim the weekend series Saturday night at SDSU Softball Stadium.

Tied at 1-1, the Aztecs (23-24, 10-10 MW) scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to put the game away. Kayla Sok replaced Shelby Thompson after a leadoff single, and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Kelsey Munoz and a fielding error by Bulldog  (33-17, 11-9 MW) shortstop Vanessa Hernandez. Taylor Adams followed with a grounder to Hernandez, but Sok was able to race home and get under the tag applied by catcher Kelcey Carrasco and put SDSU on top. Kiera Wright then hit a bloop single down the left-field line to plate Janina Jusay with an insurance run.
