Panel of experts to answer questions about purchasing a home
July 7, 2012 (El Cajon) -- A free workshop to assist the first time home buyer will be held on Saturday, July 14 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. with a check in at 8:30a.m. with Senator Joel Anderson, the San Diego Association of REALTORS® (SDAR), and a panel of real estate experts.
The topics that will be covered include:
- Educational resources to help buyers become purchase-ready
- How to choose a realtor
- Special down payment assistance programs for first-time home buyers
- Home buyer programs in cities throughout San Diego County
- Special loan products and grants for first-time home buyers
- Buyer-Broker relationship
- Bank-owned, REO, short sale information
- Renovation loans
- Available tax credits
- Legislative update with Q & A opportunity
Donna Sanfilippo, SDAR’s Board President, said: “Home ownership is extremely affordable right now, and is one of the best financial investments you can make. This workshop will give first-time buyers the tools they need to help them navigate the housing market with confidence.”
