Panel of experts to answer questions about purchasing a home
 
July 7, 2012 (El Cajon) -- A free workshop to assist the first time home buyer will be held on Saturday, July 14 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. with a check in at 8:30a.m. with Senator Joel Anderson, the San Diego Association of REALTORS® (SDAR), and a panel of real estate experts.
The topics that will be covered include:

  • Educational resources to help buyers become purchase-ready
  • How to choose a realtor
  • Special down payment assistance programs for first-time home buyers
  • Home buyer programs in cities throughout San Diego County
  • Special loan products and grants for first-time home buyers
  • Buyer-Broker relationship
  • Bank-owned, REO, short sale information
  • Renovation loans
  • Available tax credits
  • Legislative update with Q & A opportunity
Donna Sanfilippo, SDAR’s Board President, said: “Home ownership is extremely affordable right now, and is one of the best financial investments you can make. This workshop will give first-time buyers the tools they need to help them navigate the housing market with confidence.”
