CITIZENS AWARDS!

April 9, 2010 (San Diego’s East County) – We are delighted to invite our readers to a very special event! Citizen Band is generously donating their time for a very benefit concert to help our citizens’ media outlet, East County Magazine. Come give them a warm welcome, enjoy some of the best rock ‘n’ roll around, and support our independent community media!

Founder Jeff Berkley won the Kerrville New Folk Songwriter Award. His new group, Citizen Band (Listen to their music here:  http://citizenbandmusic.com) has been nominated for best rock and roll album (Breaker, Breaker My Heart) AND best Americana or country album in the San Diego Music Awards. Jeff previously co-founded the award-winning Berkley-Hart duo and has shared the stage with many of the top performers in the music industry. View concert poster for details on the musical portion of our evening.

The band takes the stage at 8 p.m. at Cuyamaca College’s beautiful new performing arts center in the Rancho San Diego area of El Cajon.

Citizen Band’s motto is “Rock and roll is their religion—and you’d better come ready for the preachin!’”Be prepared to shake, rattle and roll the night away.
