August 20, 2019 (La Mesa) - Shea Homes has acquired a 28-acre parcel on Mount Helix for $6.5 million with plans develop a community of 36 estate homes.

The new community, named Fuerte Ranch Estates, will be located at the southeast corner of Fuerte Drive and Damon Lane in unincorporated El Cajon.

Colliers International’s San Diego team represented the seller, RP Communities, in the transaction.

“The lack of new housing in East County San Diego has created significant pent-up demand,” said David Santistevan, senior executive vice president at Colliers.

“Shea Homes will help meet this demand and capitalize on being one of the only luxury projects coming to market in the area,” he added.
