March 24, 2010 (Jamul) –Sheriff’s detectives are looking for a muscular, tall (6’3-6’5) white man with dragon tattoos on both arms, shaggy brown hair and a beard reaching to mid-chest. He reportedly forced a 12-year-old boy into a pickup truck with screws in tires (racing-type tires) in Jamul around 8 p.m. last night, then later released the victim.

The suspect reportedly abducted the boy in the 17900 block of Mark Lee Drive in Jamul. He also threw the victim’s bicycle into the bed of the pickup truck, according to the Sheriff’s bulletin. The boy told officials that the abductor appeared nervous, suddenly pulled over and insisted the boy exit the truck. He then threw the boy’s back pack out of the vehicle and fled the area.  The boy has bruises on his left shoulder and arm, the Union-Tribune reports.

The boy walked to a friend’s house and reported the incident to his friend’s mother. The victim’s grandparents were notified and they called the Sheriff’s Department. A thorough search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.

Sheriff's detectives are interviewing known sex offenders in the vicinity.
