SPRING VALLEY GAS STATION ROBBED AT GUNPOINT

October 26, 2017 (Spring Valley) – The AM/PM gas station at 9065 Campo Road was robbed at gunpoint yesterday at 5:29 p.m. According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Michael Hettinger, the suspect pointed a handgun at a cashier and a second employee, ordering them not to move. He took an undisclosed amount of money and is believed to have fled in a black Ford Explorer driven by an accomplice.

The robbery suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult about 25-30 years old, with brown eyes, 5' 7" – 5' 8" tall and weighing 160-175 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue hoodie, a white or gray t-shirt, light blue jeans, white shoes and also wore a black and white bandana around his face with possible flower prints on it.

The vehicle, a 2000's model black 2-door Ford Explorer, had faded paint and scratches on the passenger side.  The vehicle was staged on the westbound 94 shoulder, just west of Bancroft Drive.

The driver was described as a Hispanic male about 40 years old with a dark brown complexion, a full head of black hair, mustache and wearing a black t-shirt and black faded pants.

The suspects were not located and the investigation is on-going. If anyone has information related to this incident please contact the Rancho San Diego Detective Unit at 619-660-7033.
