May 26, 2017 (El Cajon) – Deputies are seeking a black pickup truck and its occupants involved in an altercation that ended with another motorist stabbed in the neck in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant at 13574 Camino Canada in unincorporated El Cajon around 6 a.m. this morning.

Deputies responded to an assault call. According to Sergeant Kristin Brayman, a white four-door Saturn was parked with three occupants, two males and one female, when a black pickup truck pulled into the lot and struck the Saturn, causing minor scratches.

The black pickup truck was occupied by two Hispanic males and one white male who were all in their twenties. The driver of the pickup truck exited his vehicle and spoke with the owner of the white Saturn (the female occupant).

“The passenger of the pickup truck exited the vehicle and got into an argument with the one of the men in the white Saturn, putting a knife to his stomach. He did not stab him and there were no injuries. The suspect then chased the other male occupant of the sedan and stabbed him in the neck,” Sergeant Brayman says.

The victim was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital for a non-life threatening cut to his neck. The black truck then sped off with all three occupants. Detectives are conducting a follow up investigation and viewing possible video. The suspects are still outstanding.
