HE AIN'T DONE RIGHT BY NELL: COMEDIC MELODRAMA IN LEMON GROVE TAKES STAGE IN SEPTEMBER

 

August 1, 2011 (Lemon Grove)--The Lemon Grove Historical Society will prevent “a hilarious 19th century melodrama adopted to Lemon Grove, California,” says Helen Ofield, president of the organization. “He Ain’t Done Right By Nell” is set in 1906 in the heydey of the town's citrus packing industry.  Seven showings will be held from September 16 to September 25.

LEMON GROVE HISTORICAL SOCIETY HOLDS OPEN CASTING CALLS

 

 

 

 

July 5, 2011 (Lemon Grove) -- The Lemon Grove Historical Society will hold open casting calls on July 10th and 11th from 6:00p.m. until 9p.m. in the H. Lee House Cultural Center, 3205 Olive, Lemon Grove. The play will be the amusing, 19th century melodrama, "He Ain't Done Right by Nell."

THE LEMON GROVE HISTORICAL SOCIETY RUMMAGE SALE

 

 

May 23, 2011 (Lemon Grove) --The Lemon Grove Historical Society will hold a rummage sale on Saturday, May 28 from 7:30 a.m. to  1 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Parsonage Museum.  Lots of like-new Cal King comforters and shams and sheet sets, lighting new in the box, plastic toddler trike, clothing, household and more.  To donate items, call 619-460-4353 for pickup or arrange drop-off.  All proceeds benefit the Parsonage Museum and the H. Lee House Cultural Center.

PUTTING OUT THE FIRE WITH THOM & CHARLIE: APRIL 7 IN LEMON GROVE

 

April 2, 2011 (Lemon Grove) – Thom Rosenberger and Charlie Lewis, famous throughout the county for their traveling fire education program, racked up nearly 70 years as Lemon Grove firefighters and know from smoke-filled rooms, burning embers and screaming sirens.

 

On April 7 at 7 p.m., the Lemon Grove Historical Society will present “Putting out the fire with Thom and Charlie,” a fire safety program as part of the “History Alive” lecture series in the H. Lee House Cultural Center, 3205 Olive in Lemon Grove.

WHAT'S HOT? LEMON GROVE HOLIDAY BONFIRE DEC. 3

 

December 2, 2010 (Lemon Grove) -- The City of Lemon Grove hosts its annual community holiday bonfire on December 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Civic Center Park, corner of Olive and Church Streets. Rain or shine, this free family-orientated event features live music, horse-drawn wagon rides, free refreshments, game booths, crafts, face painting, and more.
