May 24, 2011 (La Mesa)—Laughter is truly the best medicine! Comedian Mark Christopher Lawrence, co-star of the NBC-TV series “Chuck” and numerous movies and TV shows will perform with comics from Brew Ha Ha in “Humor for Haiti” on May 27 at 7 p.m. in La Mesa.  It's all to help meet medical needs of people in impoverished Haiti.  East County Magazine is a media sponsor of the event--and we hope to see you there!

Event includes great food from Tiramisu Trattoria and Press Box Sports Lounge, opportunity drawing for fantastic prizes, and a hilarious show.  Prizes include stay at Julian Meadows Inn, wine and tastings from San Pasqual Winery and Orfila Vineyards, dinners, coffee basket from Starbucks, tickets to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo, and much more.

Sponsors include Tiramisu Trattoria, Press Box Sports Lounge, Starbucks, Heritage of the Americas Museum, Orfila Vineyards, and media sponsor East County Magazine.

The event will benefit the nonprofit Global Family Network. The organization assists orphaned children and proceeds from this show will help build a medical clinic in Haiti for HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment at GFN's community center in Haiti. One in every 50 people in Haiti suffers from these conditions, including many children.
