January 31, 2013 (Spring Valley) -- Who doesn’t like the thought of total deliverance? Spring Valley’s Total Deliverance Worship Temple offered up deliverance by hosting M.A.N.D.A.T.E.’s (a local gospel record label) 18th-anniversary concert on Saturday, January 26, 2013.
Nu Vision, Archie Robinson, J. Pierre, Evangel, Men 4 Christ, and others either performed, did introductions, or contributed to a fun, gospel based evening.
Terri Fowler, with M.A.N.D.A.T.E, said the concert was a way to say, “Thank you to San Diego for their support.”
Total Deliverance Worship Temple provided ample space for this well-attended concert. Other M.A.N.D.A.T.E events coming up this year will be the Praise Fest in August. They will also have some of their artists participate in an up-and-coming Gospel Day in Lancaster.
Singer/songwriter, Evangel, helped to introduce part of the program. She started out 18 years ago and cites secular singers Chaka Khan and gospel singer Fred Hammond as influences. Good influences indeed; Evangel’s soothing, spiritual voice and lyrics can be heard on her Ministers of Reconciliation CD. Contact http://www.mandaterecords.com to purchase her music and to book performances for her or their other artists on their label.
Singer Archie Robinson‘s quote about keeping things “heart-based” sums up the gospel concert and the other artists’ mindset. The audience members surely did receive the vibe, the music, and the message- to keep things, “heart based” indeed, Archie.
