August 16, 2012 (Juian) – The San Diego Astronomy Association (SDAA) and the town of Julian bring Starfest to Menghini Winery, 1150 Julian Orchards Lane, Julian,  August 16 – 19. 

The three day event will include numerous speakers, vendors, a Swap Meet and food.  The stars will be the highlight come nightfall and telescopes will be set up throughout the viewing area.

Camping is available Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.  The cost is $30 for an adult, $15 for teens and kids under 12 are free.  The fee includes all the nights (whether you stay or not) and your registration fee for the entrance to the vendor exhibit all 3 days.

A free public Star Party will be held on August 18 from 7:00 p.m. on.  Take a star tour of the heavens using the telescopes set up in the viewing area.  Experts will be on hand to answer questions.
