February 10, 2014 (Ramona) – Ramona vintners invite you to visit Ramona's Wine Country for Valentine's Day Weekend (Friday - Sunday), and enjoy Ramona's East End Winery Loop, a scenic drive connecting three local wineries, Ramona Ranch, Vineyard Grant James, and Turtle Rock Ridge. Each winery will be providing a special pairing in honor of Valentine's Day all weekend.
Visitors can spend a day in the country and meet the wine-makers; picnics are welcome as are well mannered dogs. You can savor small-batch, handcrafted wines and views. Ramona is home to more than 50 vineyards covering over 60 acres and 23 bonded wineries with an amazing trail network, and several open preserves to explore. Located approximately 35 miles northeast of San Diego, the Ramona Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA) is recognized for it’s unique microclimate, terroir and history of grape production. The 89,000-acre area covers 139 square miles of primarily rural area surrounding the unincorporated town of Ramona.
