September 13, 2009 (El Cajon) If you’re a musician seeking an audience, Valley Music wants you. The El Cajon music store hopes to begin hosting an East County Open Microphone series beginning Saturday, September 26th.
“We are interested in starting up an East County Open Microphone series and are looking for people who would like to participate,” Andrea Long said. “Open microphone forums for bluegrass, acoustic solo or duets and possibly a Songwriter’s networking workshop are all open for discussion.”
Events would take place from 7 to 9 p.m. in the evenings; specific days are to be determined. Valley Music recently moved to a new location at 1611 North Magnolia, #310 (just behind the Jiffy Lube). Artists would be limited to 20 minute sets and are encouraged to bring and sell their own CDs
To perform, attend and observe, or offer suggestions, call
Valley Music at 619-444-3161 or e-mail Andrea Long at jcsent@att.net .

Shame
It's a shame after how long was it ?...40 something years ?. Longer ?.
They had to move because of the European is it ?. Fresh food Market next door wanted more room ?, After all they did and were doing for El Cajon, they were at a great location, and now they are not even with in Walking distance, and where they are is not some place you really walk down the street, looking at all the businesses.
Eerything in El Cajon, is going going gone, it's now ALL Fresh food Markets, and alcohol, Mexican food and alcohol, Food, music and alcohol. Car show and alcohol, making El Cajon like Downtown San Diego, UGLY, Crime infested, Drug infested, GANG Infested, no fun place to be..
El Cajon is ruined...
