August 5, 2012 (San Diego’s East County) – How safe are psychiatric drugs?  A disturbing new video released by Citizens Commission on Human Rights highlights serious risks and side effects of commonly prescribed psychiatric drugs.  View the video Psychiatric Drugs-Search Warnings, Studies, & Side Effects:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAqCf2gzYag&list=PLB9EA75455D155D89&feature=plcp

Click here to visit the search engine http://goo.gl/sK0PC provided as a free public service by CCHR International, which contains a full list of international drug regulatory warnings & studies issued on psychiatric drugs, along with all adverse reaction reports on psychiatric drugs filed with the U.S. Food Y& Drug Administration from 2004-2011 by doctors, pharmacists, other healthcare providers, consumers and attorneys. All of this information has been compiled into one easy to search online search engine by the staff of CCHR International to provide the public with the facts about psychiatric drug dangers.

By the FDA's own admission, only 1 -- 10% of drug side effects are ever reported to the FDA, so the numbers contained in this database are much lower than what is actually occurring out in the consumer market. Psychiatric drugs are approved solely on short clinical trials (4-6 weeks), with virtually no long term studies once they are released for mass consumption into the consumer market. Thus the Medwatch reports represent the only real post market surveillance of these drugs.

This search engine essentially comprises all known, documented risks of psychiatric drugs. It does not contain opinion, just documented studies, warnings and post market data.

Narconon Kills. NOT Medically Based.

Same old story about Scientology/CCHR trying to replace those "crazy" medical professionals.

To address your fear-mongering post, my life partner depends on medication to keep mentally balanced, in overcoming bi-polar disorder. Finally, they are happy & productive, and making a good six-figure salary. So enough of personal stories.

Let's quickly look at the credentials of a Psychiatrist.

To become a Psychiatrist one needs a 4 year bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, anatomy or psychology.

Then 4 years of medical school to get your M.D. Doctor of Medicine degree.

Then 4 more years of psychiatric residency; a rotating internship working with patients and establishing one's excellence, then a Board review/test, and then you can become a psychiatrist.

Twelve years of school, hands-on preparation, a very difficult day of testing by the Board, and if you make it successfully, you may practice as a Psychiatrist.

That's what you call science. Peer-reviewed, established SCIENCE. Let's look at Narconon.

Narconon and CCHR are both Scientology business branches, operated in Whole by Scientology methods and doctrine. This very weekend, the death of 4 patients in the past 9 months is being protested. (Google Narconon Deaths, or: Narconon Arrowhead. This is Scientology's largest North America location. The other large facility was closed down in Canada, and banned in that country for missing over 40 of the 50 criteria.

Readers, don't buy into the fear that the medical field has gone horribly astray, it is simply being attacked by the Scientology PR machine.

Thank you,
Mark

[Scientology Front Groups that sound humanitarian, but only seek to indoctrinate individuals or groups into Scientology:]

ABLE, Applied Scholastics, Bridge Publications, CCHR, Crimanon, Bigotwatch, IAS (International Association of Scientologists), Volunteer Ministers, The Way to Happiness (TWTH), WISE, World Literacy Crusade. ALL built with Scientology's dangerous and non-productive "tech", and ALL to get you as a paying customer.

Psychiatrists

My question to you is:  if psychiatrists have so much scientific training, then why can't they come up with a scientific test for their field?  Opinions from a list of symptoms aren't science!!!
