WHAT’S NEW AT CELEBRITY-CHEF BRIAN MALARKY’S GINGHAM RESTAURANT

June 21, 2012 (La Mesa) -- Celebrity Chef Brian Malarkey is serving up some summer specials Gingham restaurant in La Mesa.  Dubbed the first “urban cowboy diner”, Gingham features weekly themed events and specials, fun for couples, friends and families including movies and dining deals. Also, in conjunction with the La Mesa Car Show, Gingham will be offering some to-go food that will be cooked on the grill out back, perfect for anyone who wants to grab a quick lunch and go back to the festivities.

Gingham’s weekly-featured events include:

Monday: “Burger of the Week & Beer Night” – Each Monday night, Chef Ryan Studebaker and his culinary crew take on the ultimate challenge to reinvent their already popular dry-aged burger and pair it with a local San Diego craft beer all for $15.

Tuesday: “Date Night”: – Date Night includes a 4-course prix-fixe menu for 2 to share for $45. After all, sharing is caring.  Gingham will also feature half-priced wines and no corkage fees starting next Tuesday, June 19th.

Wednesday: “Backyard Movie Night” – Watch as the patio transforms into a free backyard movie gala. Backyard Movie Night begins at 7:30 pm with food available until 10 pm and the bar open until 11 pm. All seating is first come, first serve. Snake Oil Cocktail Co. also creates a unique cocktail to match the featured movie.  For example, the last showing of the hilarious ‘Step Brothers’ featured ‘The Lightning Tip’ cocktail made from gin, campari, cucumber, sparkling wine and is “better than a combination of Fergie and Jesus”.  The next "Backyard Movie" night will feature the popular movie, Airplane!

Saturday: “Backyard BBQ & Biergarten” – Every Saturday, Gingham brings out the grill and brings out the portable kegerator to the patio and serve 4oz burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken drumettes and grilled corn, all you can eat for $15. Four specialty beers are offered in addition to happy hour prices on drinks.  

Sunday: Brunch & Dinner specials – Sunday Funday starts with Brunch that features Bottomless Mimosas for $12. For dinner, they will waive your corkage fee, saving you $15 a bottle, and allow you to B.Y.O.B.

Happy Hour is available Monday-Friday from 5 pm-6 pm with half off selected appetizers, $5 beer and wine, $6 wells, $7 infusion cocktails

Reverse Happy Hour is Friday & Saturday nights from 10 pm-11 pm with half-off selected appetizers, $5 beer and wine, $6 wells, $7 infusion cocktails
