February 1, 2012 (La Mesa) School budgets have been cut to the bone, but fortunately for the Grossmont High School Men’s Soccer Team, San Pasqual Winery is kicking in some help—and asks community support. This Saturday, February 4 from 6-8 p.m., San Pasqual Winery will host a fundraiser wine tasting to benefit the Grossmont Men’s Soccer Team. The event will be held at the Winery’s Tasting Room, 8364 La Mesa Blvd., La Mesa.
“We’ll be pouring tastes from our current releases as well as stealing a few samples from the barrels for your early preview. Rumor has it that that Winemaker Linda might also pop the cork on a few unreleased bottling,” a press release from the tasting room states. “Soccer team parents will be providing a tasty array of appetizers followed by a preview of our Valentine’s Day chocolate extravaganza (more on this later).”
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door (if available). Call the Tasting Room today to reserve your spot and support young athletes at (619) 462-1797.
