ARMED ROBBERY AT TROLLEY STATION

November 23, 2011 (La Mesa)—La Mesa Police report that a man armed with a black handgun held up a victim at the 70th Street Trolley Station at 7:30 p.m. on November 21.

 

 

The suspect, a black male adult 21-25 years old with dark hair and dark eyes, approached the victim on the trolley platform and asked for money. When the victim refused, the man pulled a gun and stole the victim’s cell phone. He fled on food eastbound along the trolley tracks and is still outstanding. The suspect was wearing a black long sleeved hoodie with a white logo and black sweat pants.

The investigation in continuing. Anyone with information is urged to call the La Mesa Police Department at (619) 667-1400. You can remain anonymous, and be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case
