COLLISION KILLS 2 ELDERLY WOMEN IN SAN CARLOS

Update: The  Medical Examiner has identified the victims.  Clarina Rabe Chu, 88, was the driver of the Toyota Prius. MarjorieBialk,76, was in the Toyota Camry.

September 3, 2016 (San Diego) — A collision at Navajo Road and Park Ridge Boulevard early Friday morning killed two elderly women.

According to police, the accident was caused by an 88-year-old driver who ran a light during foggy conditions while traveling east on Navajo.  Her Toyota Prius struck a Toyota Camry driven by a 76-year-old woman traveling north on Park Ridge.

Paramedics found both women gravely injured in their vehicles.  Both were rushed to local hospital emergency rooms, where they were pronounced dead.
