October 14, 2017 (San Diego’s East County) - The owners of The Hills in La Mesa and the Eastbound Bar and Grill in Lakeside are serving up some spooky fun--along with some wild libations, prizes and more this Halloween Season. From a cauldron of concoctions served in gravedigger skull mugs to a costume contest with a $10,000 prize, these local night spots have plenty of “treats” in store for their Halloween weekend guests.

April 4, 2017 (Lakeside) – Activists seeking to save El Monte Valley from a proposed sand mining operation are raising money for a legal battle. On Monday, April 17 from 5-10 p.m., a benefit will be held at Eastbound Bar and Grill, 10553 Maine Ave. in Lakeside.

FUNDRAISER IN LAKESIDE, NEW WEBSITE AIMS TO RAISE REWARD IN TRIPLE-MURDER CASE

 

April 14, 2014 (Lakeside) - Last year on Christmas Eve, Salvatore Belvedere and his brother’s fiancé, Ilona Flint, were found mortally wounded in a vehicle parked at Mission Valley Center.  Flint managed to call 911 despite having been shot in the head.  She died at the scene and her finance later succumbed to his wounds at a hospital. Both were 22 years old.
