ECM PADRES REPORT: CUBS SHUT OUT PADRES 4-0

March 3, 2023 (Peoria, Ariz.) - The Padres get ready to face the Cubs today after being walked off by Seattle yesterday.  Justin Steele started for Chicago against Julio Teheran.

The Cubs kicked it off with Edwin Rios’ solo homer in the fourth and the Cubs led 1-0 after four.

 
Yan Gomes hit a sac fly in the sixth and the Cubs led 2-0 after six.
 
Dom Nunez added the final two with a fielder’s choice in the ninth and the Cubs owned the Padres 4-0.
 
UP NEXT 
 
The Padres go to Scottsdale again tomorrow to play the Diamondbacks.  First pitch is at 12:10 p.m.  Reiss Knehr starts against Brandon Pfaadt for Arizona.
