May 12, 2023 (Los Angeles) - The Padres are back in California after a weird, random trip to Minnesota in which they lost two out of three.  They faced the Dodgers on Mother’s Day weekend.  Blake Snell started game one tonight against Dustin May for L.A.

Freddie Freeman kicked the series off with a two-RBI double in the third and the Dodgers led 2-0 after three.

Ha-Seong Kim doubled in the seventh to score two and tie the game, but solo homers from Freeman and Mookie Betts in the home half gave the Dodgers the lift to take game one 4-2.

Game two is much earlier tomorrow night at 4:15 p.m. and is part of the free game of the day Mother’s Day package.  Grossmont High alum Joe Musgrove starts against Julio Urias for L.A.
