March 6, 2023 (Glendale, Ariz.) - The Padres visited the Dodgers for the first time this spring today. Nick Martinez started against new Dodgers star Noah Syndergaard.
Miguel Rojas kicked things off with a two-RBI double in the second, Freddie Freeman doubled to score Rojas, Will Smith singled to score Freeman, Max Muncy doubled to score Smith, J.D. Martinez singled to score Muncy and a six-run second gave the Dodgers a 6-0 lead after two.
Rojas hit a solo homer in the sixth and the Dodgers led 6-0 after six.
Jonny DeLuca singled in the seventh to score Andy Pages and the Dodgers led 7-0 after seven.
The Padres tried to rally in the ninth. Max Schrock hit a sac fly to score Rangel Ravelo and Evan Mendoza doubled to score two, but the Dodgers routed the Friars 8-3.

The Padres go back to Peoria for the next couple of games as they host the Angels tomorrow. First pitch is at 12:10 p.m. Tucker Davidson starts for Anaheim against Seth Lugo.
