May 27, 2023 (New York) - Good morning!  The Padres have their first two morning games in a long time today and tomorrow.  Michael Wacha started today against Luis Severino for New York.

Today, the Yankees struck first.  D.J. LeMahieu doubled in the first to score Aaron Judge and the Bronx Bombers led 1-0 after one.

But Fernando Tatis Jr. evened it up with a solo homer in the fourth and we were tied at one after four.

Ha-Seong Kim got the go-ahead in the seventh with a single that scored José Azocar, but LeMahieu quickly tied it with a solo homer in the bottom of the seventh and we were tied at two after seven.  Nine innings weren’t enough, so we went to extras.  The Yankees succeeded with an RBI single in the 10th from Isaiah Kiner-Falefa that scored SDSU alum Greg Allen and the Bronx Bombers walked it off 3-2.
