September 27, 2023 (San Francisco) - The Padres evened the series with the Giants with a much better game last night:  two homers for Juan Soto and a shutout.  They tried to take the series tonight with Matt Waldron on the mound against ex-Padre Sean Manaea for San Francisco.

Thairo Estrada kicked things off for the Giants in the second with a solo homer and San Francisco led 1-0 after two.

Xander Bogaerts hit a sac fly in the fifth to score José Azocar to tie the game, but Tyler Fitzgerald singled in the home half to score Michael Conforto and the Giants led 2-1 after five.

Garrett Cooper saved the day with a solo homer in the seventh and we were tied again at two after seven.  Seven ended up not being enough and we went to extras.

Bogaerts hit a sac fly in the 10th to score Trent Grisham and Manny Machado singled to score two and the Padres did the unthinkable; took a series with a 5-2 win.
