El Cajon City Manager Douglas Williford stated, “I feel that we are quite fortunate to have him join our team.  I could ask for no one better to fill this important position and I am sure that our City Council, our staff, and the entire El Cajon community will all enjoy working with him.”

Mr. Mitchell is expected to be deeply involved in many of the City’s highest priority projects and programs, including the renovation and re-opening of the East County Performing Arts Center and the upcoming construction of the new Animal Shelter.

“To say I am ecstatic to work for the City of El Cajon would be an understatement.  I am excited to be part of the El Cajon management team, focused on meeting City Council priorities and enhancing the quality of life in the community,” Mr. Mitchell stated.
