September 20, 2019 (El Cajon) -- The German-American Club of San Diego hosts its annual Oktoberfest at its headquarters in El Cajon on the last weekend of September and the first weekend of October.  A trip for two to Germany will be the grand prize for a lucky winner in prize drawings during the event.

The hours are 4 to 10 p.m. on Fridays, 12 noon to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 9 p.m on Sundays.

The celebration begins with an opening day parade and keg tap, plus crowning of this year’s Oktoberfest Queen on Friday night, September 27th at 6:30 p.m. An authentic band is flown in from Germany for the event, which also features German foods such as bratwurst, ox on a spit, sauerkraut, Bavarian pastries and plenty of German beers.
