Update 6 p.m.: The suspect has been identified as Paul Carl Tomasini. He is being charged with murder, the Sheriff's office reports this evening.
October 1, 2012 (Santee)—A man with stab wounds is being questioned by Sheriff’s homicide detectives in connection with the death of a woman found deceased in a home in the 10500 block of Strathmore Drive in Santee last night.
Deputies from the Santee Sheriff’s Station responded around 9:45 p.m. to a report of “unknown trouble.” At the scene, the met with Santee Fire Department employees who were treating the injured man. Based on information received, deputies conducted a welfare check inside and located the deceased woman, an apparent homicide victim, Captain Duncan Fraser with the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail said.
The injured man was transported to a hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening stab wounds. He is being questioned by Sheriff’s Homicide investigators/
“We believe the man was acquainted with the victim,” Captain Fraser said. “We do not believe there are suspect(s) outstanding at this time.”
