TWO COUNTY-SPONSORED MONKEYPOX VACCINATION EVENTS THIS WEEK

August 29, 2022 (San Diego) - The County of San Diego is holding two Mpox (Jynneos) vaccination events this week in the South County in addition to providing 250 vaccinations throughout the week at County clinics.

WHERE TO GET THE MONKEYPOX VACCINE LOCALLY

August 9, 2022 (San Diego) – The County of San Diego continues to receive a limited number of monkeypox vaccines from the state. The vaccines are available to people at highest risk of contracting the disease and to those whose immune systems are compromised, though the risk to the general public remains low.

COUNTY URGES MEN WHO HAVE SEX WITH MEN TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM MONKEYPOX

July 13, 2022 (San Diego) – County health officials are encouraging men who have sex with men to abstain or practice safer sex to avoid getting and spreading the monkeypox virus. Monkeypox vaccines are also available locally for people in high-risk groups.
