MOTORCYCLIST DIES AFTER COLLISION IN EL CAJON

April 7, 2023 (El Cajon) – An El Cajon man, 47, has died of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on April 2 at 8:23 p.m. on Pepper Drive in El Cajon.

According to Officer Matthew Baranowski with the California Highway Patrol, a 64-year-old man from El Cajon was driving a 2015 Ford F-150 pickup truck northbound on a shared driveway near 1601 Pepper Drive, when he pulled into the roadway in the path of an oncoming motorcyclist driving a 2011 Ducati 848 motorcycle.

DEPUTIES ARREST "COMBATIVE" MOTORCYCLIST AFTER PURSUIT AND CRASH

November 10, 2015 (Santee) – A suspect who reportedly fled after a traffic stop in Santee later crashed and was ejected.  When he refused to cooperate with deputies after the accident, 41-year-old Anthony Ortega was tasered and arrested, said Sergeant Daniel Morsch.

August 30, 2014 (Descanso) – Julia Elizabeth Hills, 53, was killed in a motorcycle crash on State Route 79 in Julian on August 24th.  Her husband, Norman "Scott" Allen, broke his hip and suffered a compound break in his right leg in the crash. Hills is survived by her son, Chuck, as well as her mother, two sisters and a brother serving in the mlitary in Iraq.

Ericka Dehoyos, a friend of the famliy, has set up the Norman "Scott" Allen fund.  "They need financial help in burying the love of his life as well as his medical bills and help so he doesn't lose his home and what he has worked for," Dehoyos states.  To donate, visit http://www.gofundme.com/djq08k.

ALCOHOL A FACTOR IN FATAL SANTEE MOTORYCLE CRASH

 

July 30, 2014 (Santee) – On July 25, Santee sheriff deputies responded to a report of a possible drunk driver traveling on a motorcycle northbound on Carlton Hills Boulevard at a high speed.  The victim struck a parked vehicle. He was ejected, striking a telephone pole and then landing in the roadway.
