TWO DEAD IN SANTEE HOME REPORTS COUNTY SHERIFF

Two people found deceased inside their residence
 
July 31, 2024 (Santee) -- On July 30, 2024, at about 11:05 a.m., deputies from the Santee Sheriff's Station received a radio call of two deceased elderly adults at a residence in the 300 block of Lantern Way, in Santee. Deputies arrived at the residence and confirmed both were deceased. Deputies found one male and one female deceased inside the residence. Both subjects appeared to have head trauma. The deceased's identifications are being withheld pending confirmation and notification of family members.

ARREST MADE IN RAMONA SHOOTING

January 19, 2021 (Ramona) – Ramona resident Elias Ruiz, 32, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder.  The identity of the victim, a man found shot in the 700 block of Main Street around 12:30 a.m. yesterday, has not been released pending family notification.

Sheriff's deputies and officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to a report of the shooting. They attempted lifesaving measures until relieved by fire personnel. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

COLD CASE: MISSING WOMAN VANISHED IN LAKESIDE IN 1986

 

January 15, 2015 (Lakeside) – San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Unit seek leads in the disappearance of Cynthia Dyann Coleman under suspicious circumstances.

On September 3, 1986, 23-year-old Cynthia Dyann Coleman left her home on the Barona Indian Reservation to go to a nearby supermarket to give away a litter of kittens. Cynthia’s mother reported her daughter missing on September 8, 1986 after she failed to return home and made no contact with her family.
