March 28, 2021 (Del Mar) – Jurassic Quest Drive Thru, the nation’s largest touring dinosaur exhibit, opened today for an encore showing at Del Mar Fairgrounds through April 4 following a sold-out visit in January. The traveling dinosaur attraction has welcomed its 2 millionth visitor and today kicks off a food drive benefiting the San Diego Food Bank (donations accepted on site March 26-April 4).

NOMINEES ANNOUNCED FOR CIRCULATE SAN DIEGO'S 2020 MOMENTUM AWARDS

September 14, 2020 (San Diego) – Circulate San Diego announced today the 2020 nominees for their annual Momentum Awards. The nominees are listed below.

Circulate San Diego’s Momentum Awards recognize the people and projects in the San Diego region that are creating excellent mobility choices and vibrant, healthy neighborhoods. This year’s awards also include a special category for COVID-19 Innovation, to highlight the efforts made to transform streets and policies during the ongoing pandemic.

The 2020 Momentum Awards will be online-only on October 1st, at 5:30 p.m. Attendance is free, but registration is required to receive information for how to participate in the event. Registration and event details are online at http://www.circulatesd.org/gala2020.

June 9, 2015 (San Diego's East County) - The winner of horse racing’s Triple Crown won his first race at Del Mar, right here in San Diego County--and may soon be coming back.  Track officials at Del Mar have told the Union-Tribune that they may increase the prize money for the upcoming Pacific Classic in hopes of enticing the owners of American Pharoah to compete.

BLIND CAT FROM SPRING VALLEY SHELTER EARNS RIBBON AT CAT SHOW


February 3, 2012 (Spring Valley)--This weekend at the Cat Fanciers Association cat show held at the(Del Mar Fairgrounds, an unexpected cat landed in the finals.  Gizmo is a 16 year old cat with cateracts in both eyes that has left her almost completely blind. She lives at the NatCat shelter in Spring Valley.
