June 28, 2021 (Washington D.C.) -- In what civil rights advocates hailed as "an incredible victory," the United States Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear the case of Gavin Grimm, a former Virginia high school student who in 2015 sued his county board of education over its policy of denying transgender pupils use of restrooms corresponding with their gender identity.

February 23, 2017 (San Diego) – President Donald Trump on Wednesday ordered the Department of Education and the Justice Department to withdraw guidelines that required schools to protect transgender students under Title IX, the federal law which bans sex discrimination in all public schools.

August 4,2016 (Washington D.C.) — The U.S. Supreme Court has voted 5-3 to temporarily prevent a transgender student in Virginia from using the bathroom of his choice, until the high court decides whether to hear the case.
