SWEET NEWS: NEW LEMON GROVE LIBRARY RECEIVES MAJOR DONATIONS

July 1, 2012 (Lemon Grove) – A new public library is now under construction in Lemon Grove at the corner of School Lane and Lincoln, thanks to Prop W bond funds.   
 
On June 27, Friends of the Lemon Grove Library presented the county library with a check for $60,000 to purchase the “First Day Collection for the new library. During the ceremony, the group also gave $5,000 from the City of Lemon Grove raised by Rosemary Putnam.

CENTENNIAL BANNERS GOING UP AROUND EL CAJON

 

 
July 4, 2012 (El Cajon) -- The City of El Cajon will officially be turning 100 years old on Monday, November 12, 2012. In celebrating our mission statement, Honoring and Celebrating the People Who Make El Cajon the Valley of Opportunity,” the City will be hanging colorful Centennial banners on light posts in El Cajon, depicting various historical moments during the past 100 years in El Cajon.

LEMON GROVE ANNUAL SPRING FASHION PARADE AND LUNCHEON – MAY 12

 
May 1, 2012 (Lemon Grove) – The Lemon Grove Historical Society will be hosting their Annual Springtime Fashion Parade and Luncheon on Saturday, May 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Civic Center Park, 3200 Main Street in Lemon Grove.
