SUSPECTS SOUGHT IN RAMONA HOMICIDE;VICTIM IDENTIFIED

December 8, 2023 (Ramona) – Angel Jauregui, 35, of  Ramona has been identified as the victim of a deadly shooting that occurred on December 5th. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call around 11:24 p.m. reporting gunshots and found Jauregui  at the intersection of State Route 78 and Haverford Road in Ramona.

SHOOTING DEATH IN RAMONA: SHERIFF SEEKS WITNESSES TO FIND SUSPECT OR SUSPECTS

April 16, 2018 (Ramona) – Sheriff’s deputies responding to a 911 call reporting gunshots and screams Sunday night shortly after 8:30 p.m. found a mortally wounded man on the ground in front of a home at 15921 Wood Rock Lane in Ramona, according to Lieutenant Michael Blevins. 

The victim has been identified as 21-year old Ivan Nivinskus.  The county Medical Examiner has ruled the death has been ruled a homicide, caused by multiple gunshot wounds.

HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION INTO DEATH OF RAMONA WOMAN, 94

 

Update:  May 4, 2012 -- The Sheriff’s Department announced on Wednesday night that a suspect had been arrested in the death of a 94-year-old Ramona woman.

Gary Allen Thomas, 63, a resident of the mobile home park where the victim lived, was arrested Wednesday afternoon, sheriff’s homicide Lt. Larry Nesbit said at a news conference at department headquarters.
