$1,000 REWARD OFFERED IN RAMONA COMMERCIAL BURGLARY CASE

November 24, 2020 (Ramona) -- San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Ramona Sheriff’s substation are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspects responsible for a commercial burglary.

On Monday, November 16 at around 10:00 p.m., two unknown suspects forced entry into the Sunbelt Rentals store located at 2055 Main Street in Ramona. The suspects cut a hole in the outer fence of the property and then proceeded to break a window of the business to gain entry inside. The suspects stole several power tools and generators totaling around $15,000.

BURGLAR IN TERMITE-TENTED HOME NABBED IN LAKESIDE

April 9, 2016 (Lakeside) --  A worker for a pest control company who arrived to remove a termite fumigation tent from a home at 9548 Farmington Drive in Lakeside Friday found an intruder in the home. The suspect fled and the employee pursued him in his work truck, said Sergeant Mike McNeill.

January 14, 2016 (El Cajon) - An El Cajon homeowner arrived home to find a burglar in his home in the 2400 block of Chatham Street at 12:30 p.m. today, according to Sgt. J. Larson with the El Cajon Police.

SHERIFF SEEKS BLACK FORD TRUCK LINKED TO SANTEE BURGLARIES

January 12, 2016 (Santee) — Crime Stoppers and Sheriff deputies in Santee seek public help to solve a crime spree involving burglaries of nine homes in Santee neighborhoods from December 14 to December 31, 2015. The suspect(s) targeted single story detached homes and forced their way in through a rear window or rear patio door. The stolen items were mainly prescription medications. Cash, electronics and tools have also been taken.

MARIJUANA DISPENSARY BURGLARIZED - THEN BUSTED--IN LAKESIDE

May 9, 2014 (Lakeside) – Sheriff’s deputies from the Santee station responded to a report of a burglary at the Aurora Green Dispensary at 8575 Los Coches Road, #2, in Lakeside.  After searching the area, they found Wendell Coleman, 37, hiding in bushes on nearby Snow White Drive and arrested him. Coleman had a large amount of marijuana and baked marijuana goods in his possession that the business owner identified as stolen property, said Lt. George Calderon.

BURGLARY RING BUSTED BY RAMONA DETECTIVES

 

December 17, 2013 (Ramona) – Sheriff’s detectives from the Ramona substation yesterday announced arrests of suspects in a burglary ring that used rental vehicles to burglarize equipment rental and maintenance yards, including One Stop Equipment in Ramona last month.  The ring is believed to be responsible for about 20 burglaries in the past year, mostly in San Diego, said Sergeant B. Hout.

LA MESA NEIGHBORS HELP APPREHEND BURGLARS

 
Trio of Santee Residents arrested 

June 14, 2012 (Santee) – Yesterday morning at 10:46 a.m., several neighbors in the 8700 block of Van Horn Street in La Mesa saw three people pull up in a car and park. One exited the car and rang the doorbell of a residence in an apparent attempt to see if someone was home. When no one answered, the male walked around to the rear of house. Several neighbors who witnessed this called the La Mesa Police Department.

BUGLARY INTERRUPTED IN LA MESA, SUSPECT GETS AWAY

 
May 30, 2012 (La Mesa)—At  approximately 4:15 p.m. yesterday, the La Mesa Police Department received a call of a burglary that had just been interrupted in the 7400 block of Colony Drive. The witnesses reported that they observed a female suspect hanging out of the window of the victim’s home.
