SUPREME COURT ACTION REQUIRES COUNTY CLERKS TO ISSUE MARRIAGE LICENSES TO GAY COUPLES

August 31, 2015 (Washington D.C.) – The U.S. Supreme Court today denied a request from a county clerk in Kentucky who sought to be excused from issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples due to her religious beliefs.

COUNTY CLERK ANNOUNCES CONTINUATION OF "WALK IN WEDNESDAYS" FOR MARRIAGES AND MARRIAGE LICENSES

 

July 22, 2013 (San Diego) – Summertime is the busiest marriage season. To help with increased demand the County Clerk’s Office has added “Walk in Wednesdays” to their services. For the past three Wednesdays, the County Clerk’s Office has been issuing marriage licenses and performing marriage services at the County Administration Center (CAC) without requiring a prior appointment. 468 marriage licenses and 270 ceremonies were performed at the CAC during that span. The “Walk in Wednesdays” will continue until September 25th.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY CLERK SERVED 116 COUPLES ON A “ONCE IN A LIFETIME WEDDING DATE”

December 16, 2012 (San Diego)--This year many couples tied the knot on 12.12.12, a once in a century wedding date. The date is popular across the globe. 12.12.12 is the last of the repeating dates until January 1, 2101 and is also popular because it is an easy date to remember.

Assessor/Recorder/Commissioner of Civil Marriages, Ernest J. Dronenburg, Jr., announced that all couples that who wished to obtain a wedding license or get married were served on that special day.
